The Mechanism was formed by Drum and Bass producer Ben Hudson, Spanish guitarist Riley Al-Johary, and DJ/Percussionist Mike Cains.
The three combined forces to create a unique style, blending bold beats, beefy baselines and layers of ethnic fusion - this became the signature sound of The Mechanism.
Bridging the gap between the excitement of DJ style music, and the feel of a Live Band, The Mechanism performs as a live trio - with Mike on DJ and Percussion duties, Ben on Keytar playing phat basslines, and Riley on Guitar and Vocals.
The Mechanism’s music featured on a number of TV shows, national advertising campaigns, a popular YouTube channel, and even a VR video game.
Sharing the stage with Goldie, Optimus Grime, Bulletproof, King Kapisi, The Mechanism has performed at numerous festivals and iconic venues nationwide.
